The Minsa manages 45 of these centers throughout the country, which house 3,626 beds.

Of this total, 206 beds are for patients in a critical situation due to coronavirus, reported National Radio of Peru.

Likewise, another transfer for 27.7 million soles (US $ 6.9 million) will be executed to the Minsa to finance health interventions for the original peoples of the Peruvian Amazon.

In parallel, the Executive Branch published a decree authorizing a transfer of 2.1 million soles (US $ 5.2 million) to the Regional Government of San Martín to finance the operation and maintenance of the Picota Health Center.

The decree indicates that the Regional Government of San Martín must report the physical and financial progress made to that hospital, so that the Government can follow and be aware of the progress in the work of the province of Picota.

Peru registered more than two million cases of coronavirus and more than 200,000 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, while the vaccination campaign was completed in 15.7 million inhabitants, out of a total of 32 million that the country has.

On the other hand, the Peruvian territory updated the health protocols where it is detailed that if you use a KN95 mask, the double use of this element would no longer be mandatory to enter different premises.

According to the Technical Health Standard No. 178-MINSA-DGIESP-2021, the use of chinstraps is still mandatory to circulate on public roads and in closed spaces or where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
