It’s done: The multi-generational house Kleeblatt is finished and was recently officially opened. The pioneer project is intended to enable generations to live together, which is why space was created for all generations: the three-group kindergarten in timber construction in the municipality of Lengau, day care for seniors including a seniors’ meeting place and vital living for those people who already need help but still need themselves can supply. This project was particularly important to SP Mayor Erich Rippl, and he is grateful to everyone who contributes to its success.
The project was supported by the state of Upper Austria, the Lawog company, the Braunau social welfare association, all Lengau factions and the Franciscan nuns from Vöcklabruck, who will run the vital living and day care. “The dignified treatment of people of all ages is important to me. I wish all residents in the multi-generational house a lively, appreciative coexistence and a warm community,” said Sister Angelika Garstenauer at the opening.
In addition to the new premises, the concept of vital living is special, as reported by the OÖ Nachrichten: 14 low-barrier apartments for seniors aged 65 and over with care levels 1 to 3 have been created. The keys have already been handed over. One of the tenants is Anna Neuhauser, who is looking forward to socializing in this house, as she says. The project partners put a lot of heart and soul into this project, praised Johann Stroblmair, managing director of the old people’s and nursing homes of the Franciscan nuns of Vöcklabruck.
Against loneliness in old age
In addition to the kindergarten and vital living, day care for seniors is also offered in the new generation house and seniors’ meetings are organized. The offer is aimed at older people with care and nursing needs who basically live in their own home. They can spend the day here twice a week and are accompanied by professional specialists. People with dementia are also welcome. At the seniors’ meeting, seniors and volunteers organize activities themselves. This is primarily intended to counteract loneliness in old age.
