He is no stranger to the gastronomy scene in the region: Markus Amesberger, operator of the Hexenstadl (most recently Highlife) in Bad Schallerbach and the Tanzbar Diana in Wallern, and his wife Jasmin Amesberger-Sarmini are taking over the “Campo” in the center of Grieskirchen from top restaurateur ” Assi” Suat Aslan.

“The main reason is that I want to switch from night to daytime catering,” says the 51-year-old, who has been in the industry for 30 years. He wants to continue the campo exactly as Assi has done for 20 years, but do more events, he emphasizes in an interview with the OÖ Nachrichten. “He will introduce me to the art of ice cream making. I will start in March next year. Assi, who is still finishing the season, will be there next year,” says Amesberger.

Tanzcafé Diana will be continued by his wife Jasmine, and there are plans for residential and commercial space on the Hexenstadl site in Bad Schallerbacher Zentrum. His goal is to develop a project on the property next year.

Now there is also an alternative date for the “Assi-Fest”, which was canceled on June 30th due to the weather. It will take place on Wednesday, July 26, from 5 p.m. on the church square. “It will not only be a festival for the residents of Grieskirch, but for the entire district,” emphasizes “Assi”.
