Technical director Ilse Hammer is retiring after more than 30 years in this management position and after 43 years of service at the vocational schools in Rohrbach. “Ilse Hammer was always a woman of action: She has had a significant influence on the school through her work at the BBS Rohrbach since 1980. She was a driving force and designer with a feel for what was feasible.
Since April 1, 1993, she has performed her managerial function as a specialist in the food industry with a great deal of commitment, personal commitment and overview. Her structured approach to tasks and her organizational talent, which she demonstrated at countless school events and open house days, were a great help,” says director Roland Berlinger about his long-standing colleague.
Challenging conversion
The school renovation in the years 2003 to 2005 presented a special challenge. Ilse Hammer played a major part in the design of the school restaurant and the teaching and company kitchens at the BBS Rohrbach. She also made an important contribution to numerous awards and certifications.
For almost 25 years, Ilse Hammer also worked as an educational consultant for HLW and FSD Rohrbach. Berlinger: “The students and their school and career paths were always an honest concern for her. She looked for and found good solutions when changing schools or switching to a different type of school.”
In this year’s final conference, director Berlinger thanked Ilse Hammer on behalf of his colleagues together with the staff representatives and the trade union for her active commitment to the BBS Rohrbach.
