The Union of Transport Workers (Unott) evaluates measures of force for this next week due to a breach of the agreement by copse encouraged by payment of wages in installments and the non-payment of vacation salary and leave for 2022even with an agreement signed with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
In a few weeks that the government has been beaten with strikes like those of Conaprole, air traffic controllers and port truckers, now there are union conflicts with transport workers.
From the union they establish a breach by the bus transport company, Copsa, and that is why they are evaluating forceful measures for this week because the conflict has dragged on since 2019 and 2020.
“Unfortunately, a new breach by the company Copsa. This time breaking a signed agreement. Already last month we had problems getting those who had promised to pay to pay. They do it again. A situation that has been repeated for many years,” he explained. Miguel Marreroreferent of the Unott.
On the other hand, they remarked that “the company has already been summoned on Thursday of last week to the Ministry of Laborwhich is permanently acting on this issue”.
Uruguay shaken by union conflict
