The exchange difference with Argentina hit tourism in the east

In turn, he stressed that beyond the decrease in Argentine visitors, it is worrying that many Uruguayans who chose to spend their weekends in piriapolis or in some other town in the east, “they are choosing another destination”like Argentina, “and that’s what’s complicated,” he said.

For the legislator, the problem is already “it transcends the logic of the coast, where there is a greater implication” and it affected the entire country, because there are “certain goods that Uruguayans who go to Argentina buy and enter” the country, distorting local trade.

Adrián Peña sent some measures to Lacalle Pou to combat the exchange difference

Peña, pointed out that he sent some proposals to the president Luis Lacalle Pouand that some of them are being sought to be included in the next Accountability.
