ÖBB offers a total of 400 rental cars at 38 locations in Austria – a flexible and environmentally friendly mobility solution for rail customers. There are four locations in Upper Austria. “Vöcklabruck was once again left out despite being a major commuter hub, district capital and gateway to the Salzkammergut tourist region”, demands Neos-NAbg. Catherine Werner, that “Rail & Drive”-Offer extended to Vöcklabruck. She therefore submitted a corresponding application to the National Council before the summer break.
The Vöcklabrucker Neos councilor Gerald Heinke also thinks that a car sharing option is important in terms of climate protection and sustainable mobility. Car sharing supplements public transport with a climate and budget-friendly alternative for the last mile.
