20 years of SGS Industrial Services – this anniversary of the Innviertler industrial assembly company was celebrated last weekend with around 300 guests in Dorf an der Pram. There was another reason to celebrate: company founder Werner Griesmaier turned 60.
SGS Industrial Services GmbH is one of the leading industrial assembly companies in Europe and the USA and can currently look forward to the highest order backlog since the company was founded. “We have been a stable partner for European and international market leaders in industrial plant construction and plant operators for 20 years,” says Werner Griesmaier.

Record order backlog
A series of large orders in Europe bring the SGS a record order backlog despite the generally difficult economic situation in the industry. Several large power plant projects are currently being implemented in Poland, Belgium and Great Britain. Another project is being implemented for a regular customer in South Africa, and there are also two large airport projects in Texas/USA. The realization of climate-friendly projects is particularly important to the company: Several Green Deal construction projects are currently being implemented, which aim to decarbonize industry and enable the production of climate-neutral products.
This year, SGS will achieve total sales of 135 million euros, and the company already has 800 employees. 120 employees work at the company headquarters in Dorf an der Pram. The expansion of the modern company headquarters has been completed and around 3.5 million euros have been invested.
At the company party, Governor Thomas Stelzer presented Werner Griesmaier with the State’s Golden Medal of Merit, and Mayor Thomas Ahörndl presented the honorary citizenship award.
