“Even though we are of course very happy about donations, we are not very happy about goods being handed over at the weekend,” says Fred Edlinger, department head at Volkshilfe. Last weekend, real mountains of donations were deposited in front of the ReVital shop in Eferding. The Volkshilfe employees had to clear their way to the shop entrance on Monday morning.
The things can often no longer be sold because they are exposed to the weather, and last but not least, such mountains of donations attract people who search through these things and throw them around. Donations of goods can be handed in at any time during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and clothing can be thrown into the textile containers.
