The president of the Central Board of Directors (Codicen) of the National Administration of Public Education (Anep), Robert Silva, confirmed yesterday that classes will return next Monday and will be face-to-face.
At the beginning of this month, and with respiratory viruses circulating in primary and initial schools, it was decided by Anep, together with the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), to bring forward the winter holidays to prevent these germs from continuing to circulate. This action, according to the president of the Codicen, was effective since the circulation of the virus was stopped.
However, questions remain about what will happen to students who will have to be absent at the beginning of classes due to They already had trips planned. Faced with this, Silva, in dialogue with the Underlined media, assured that the absences will not be passed on to students who can justify that they are traveling.
“Why is the absence going to be established? Because the Primary computer record has to have that the child is not at school, but the absence will be justified“, established the official and stressed that the absence can be justified with a ticket, hiring an excursion or simply the license of the adult responsible for the student or student.
Silva specified that all the cases will be discussed in the same institution since the teachers know the situation of one of their students. In this sense, the official remarked that the intentions of the Anep is not to complicate the situation even more of what became more complex at the beginning of the winter recess.
