The 13 suspects are said to have sold at least 200 kilos of marijuana, two kilos of speed and one kilo of cocaine over a long period of time, mainly in the Zell am See and Saalfelden area. The majority of them are still young, the state police said on Wednesday.
The group procured the drugs in the city of Salzburg, among other places, brought them to Pinzgau and sold them there – around 60 buyers are now known by name to the police. In addition, individual dealers are also charged with aggravated robbery. They are said to have threatened their victim with a firearm when selling drugs and then took drugs worth around 2,500 euros and two mobile phones from him. They then locked their victim in a basement and fled. The victim was then able to free himself from the basement, but did not report it out of fear.
The public prosecutor’s office issued arrest warrants against four of the 13 suspects. Three of them were arrested by the police, the fourth was already in custody on another offence. The group members are 16 to 25 years old, most are still teenagers. Some of them are Austrians, but some also have a different nationality.
