A dispute on a balcony in Linz’s Kaplanhofviertel has gotten completely out of control. The incident that killed 2 men from Poland happened on July 7th. He became known only now – first the relatives of the men in Poland were informed.
A 32-year-old and a 46-year-old man were drinking alcohol with a 36-year-old friend on the second-floor balcony of the assembly workers’ house. In the evening hours, an argument developed between the two older men. The 32-year-old apparently wanted to settle the dispute, which led to a scuffle with the 46-year-old.
The two men fell against the balcony railing, which broke – and fell about 8 meters from the second floor, where they hit asphalt. Due to their serious injuries, they died at the scene of the accident.
Investigations into the balcony railing are still ongoing.
