De Freitas, in dialogue with scope.comsaid that, after some cancellations suffered by a large hotel in Colonia for fear of water quality, the mayor verified that the same situation was faced by other hotels in the department.
“This occurred as a result of misinformation or false information about the water problem that Montevideo and the metropolitan area, but that Colonia and the rest of the Uruguay fortunately it does not have, ”he said.
“Colonia has the same water quality as alwaysIt has enough water. We are not in any kind of risk,” stressed De Freitas, who explained that the Tourism Directorate communicated with SBIthe Executive and the Ministry of Tourism to warn of the situation.
