The three claws are the trademark of Peugeot, the lion brand. So far at least at the rear, i.e. the rear lights symbolized three scratches. A smart, unmistakable trademark. Now the French are also using this design-technical unique selling proposition on the front – namely the 508. The model, which is located in the upper middle class, is getting an optical refreshment these days – five years after the presentation of the second 508 generation.
In addition to the three claws (daytime running lights) on the left and right, the extremely narrow matrix LED headlights are striking. In between, Peugeot placed a small, elegant radiator grille with a lion emblem: a counterpoint to the mighty grilles of other brands. At the back, the French integrated the yellow indicators into the three claw tail lights.
The second-generation i-Cockpit is standard on board, as is a 10-inch touchscreen.
Two plug-in hybrid drives (180 and 225 hp) are complemented by a 130 hp petrol engine and an equally powerful diesel.
