Her husband, the French ambassador in Austria, had to cancel at short notice due to illness, but the ambassador’s wife Anne-Christine Pécout-Kuri insisted on coming to Linz on Thursday evening for the festival of the language association Amitié France-Autriche. The occasion for the party in Café Frédéric on the main square was the 75th anniversary of the association.
Almost 100 people accepted the invitation from the Amitié President Nathalie Pele and her team, among them Ekkehard RedlhammerFrench honorary consul in Upper Austria, the Linz municipal councilor Anna Weghuber and Christiane ZojerPresident of Société France-Autriche Wels.
Laura Hurot and Mario Keszner paid homage to the club in words and pictures, the duo “À la Francaise” entertained with chansons, successful French high school graduates from various schools were honored and honorary presidents Sylvia Kiehne received a certificate of honor from the ambassador’s wife for her 45-year membership in the association.
