A 50-year-old from Haag am Hausruck (district Grieskirchen) drove his car on the B 153 in the Steinbach am Attersee municipality in Weißenbachtal towards Bad Ischl at around 2 p.m. The man wanted to turn left onto a gravel road and reduced his speed, the police said in a broadcast. At that moment, a motorcycle coming from behind, steered by a 25-year-old from Seewalchen, overtook. The 25-year-old crashed his motorcycle into the car and suffered life-threatening injuries. Passers-by who happened to be passing by immediately provided first aid. Tragically, however, any help came too late, and the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident.
