“Two missions at the same time today in Flachgau unfortunately ended fatally,” said the Salzburg water rescue service in the evening. A young man, who must have been in his mid-30s, went under in the Wallersee. He was resuscitated but died on the way to the hospital.
At the same time, the water rescue service was on duty at Lake Wolfgang. An elderly man is said to have had health problems near the shore. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Three-year-old girl resuscitated
The life of a three-year-old girl was saved after a swimming accident in Hainburg (Bruck an der Leitha district). An emergency paramedic happened to be on site and, together with other first responders, was able to revive the child. The little one was then taken to the Donauspital in Vienna by rescue helicopter. According to Philipp Gutlederer from Notruf NÖ, her condition is stable.
