Robert Grossauer from the Puntigam Brewery had the idea. “I’m curious myself how many will accept that,” says Grossauer to the “Kurier”. According to Grossauer, there is no specific reason for the campaign: “We just want to make people happy with a fun campaign”.

According to the Austrian National Bank, 6.9 billion schillings are still in circulation. Converted that would be 499 million euros. Each guest can pay a maximum of one beer in shillings per day. The rest of the money is in euros. The campaign runs until the end of the month.
