A driving lesson ended for a 19-year-old driver and her teacher in the hospital on Monday: the young woman was driving around 3:50 p.m. in a driving school car on the L1302 in the municipality of Pinsdorf (district of Gmunden) when it reached the village of Innergrub an accident happened. An oncoming car driver (26) may have lost control of her car and crossed the middle of the lane. She brushed against the driving school car and caught it in such a way that the left front tire and axle suspension detached from the vehicle.
The 26-year-old’s car skidded, hit a garden wall and came to a standstill in the opposite direction of travel. The young woman is believed to have sustained serious injuries. She was treated by the emergency doctor and taken to the Salzkammergut Clinic in Vöcklabruck. The 19-year-old driver and her teacher (52) were also injured so badly that they had to be taken to the hospital in Gmunden. Significant property damage was caused to both cars, the police said on Monday evening.
