The youngest participants were ten, the oldest 80 years old: At the weekend, Wels was the scene of the 16th State Gymnastics Festival of the Austrian Gymnastics Association of Upper Austria. More than 1000 participants from 32 clubs demonstrated their skills in various individual and team competitions in apparatus gymnastics, athletics and swimming.

The hosts from the Welser Turnverein 1862 (WTV) not only demonstrated their organizational skills: the youth in particular did the city credit in the competitions.
