Alert in Germany and Russia for new daily maximum of deaths from coronavirus

The agency added in its update that during the last 24 hours, 21,832 cases and 169 deaths were detected, which places the totals at 4,804,378 and 96,727, respectively, since the start of the pandemic, the German news agency DPA reported.

Likewise, the RKI indicated that there are currently close to 310,100 active cases, about 4,100 more than the previous day, and that 4,397,600 people have recovered from Covid-19 so far, including around 17,600 discharges during the last day.

Russian health authorities reported today a new maximum death toll from coronavirus, adding more than 1,200 amid a drastic rebound in data since September, caused by the Delta variant.

The national operational center for the fight against coronavirus reported that During the last 24 hours, 39,160 cases and 1,211 deaths were registered, bringing the totals to 8,873,655 and 249,215, respectively, since the start of the pandemic.

In this way, the total number of cases is lower than the maximum reported three days ago, on Saturday, when the country registered more than 41,300 infections; while the death toll exceeds for the first time the barrier of 1,200 deaths in one day.
