This is the result of a comparison of the online platform “Fraud Test”, in which the largest cities in Austria were compared. According to this, Wels is in third place for unauthorized grilling in public places with a fine of up to 7270 euros, together with Vienna, Innsbruck and Baden. The fines are only higher in Wiener Neustadt (7720 euros) and Dornbirn (14,000 euros). On the other hand, an improperly disposed of cigarette costs “only” 180 euros – for the same offense in Salzburg, in extreme cases, 41,000 euros can be due.
The statutory city is also relatively far ahead when it comes to “wild peeing”: It can cost up to 360 euros to urinate in public areas.
