With a colorful opening parade today, at 4 p.m., around 300 street artists will parade down the Landstraße. In the best weather, they will turn the city into a big stage for three days. Acrobats, actors, musicians and magicians amaze and laugh at 40 locations and enchant the city center again.
Visitors can look forward to a colorful programme, which is thrown together anew every day: the venues are assigned in the mornings – and the program booklets are therefore printed anew every day. If you want to have an overview of the participating artists and program items in advance, you can find them under plaster-spectacle.at
The OÖN give the most important answers to the plaster spectacle…
When and where?
Game times are Thursday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. The shows always start on the hour. For a seat in the front row, it is worth arriving at least five minutes early. The 40 venues are spread all over the city – many of them are in great demand. Because the whole of Linz becomes a stage, a rail replacement service is set up between the tram stations Hauptbahnhof and Sonnensteinstraße.
A highlight are the “Kaleidoscope Nights” in the spectacle tent next to the Lentos. For these moderated shows, in which several artists present themselves, free tickets are available at the main square every day from the start of the festival. There are “kaleidoscope afternoons” for children from 4.30 p.m.; no tickets are required for this.

How will be the weather?
The weather will be mostly sunny with maximum temperatures between 26 and 28 degrees. Thunderstorms are possible on Friday evening – the program will be briefly paused in the event of rain showers and will be resumed as soon as possible.
“Without God ka Musi”?!
Admission to the festival is free. However, one should not forget small change, because the highly professional work of the artists not only deserves applause, but also a little money for the hat. If you only have bills, you can change them at the main square.

Are there places to sit and drink?
There are drinking fountains in the city for those who are thirsty. If you don’t want to stand all the time, you can take a seat with you or buy a cardboard stool from the information point on the main square. For everyone who needs a break: There is a “quiet island” in the inner courtyard of the Old Town Hall.
spectacle for children
Children are welcome guests at all performances. In addition, there is an extensive children’s program in the Donaupark, including a water playground and make-up station.
