In the first round of the ÖFB Cup, SV Guntamatic Ried will face the Wels community tomorrow evening. Kick-off is at 8:30 p.m. So the time to prepare is over. Captain Marcel Ziegl is cautiously optimistic before the first competitive game after being relegated from the Bundesliga: “Overall, we can be very satisfied with the preparation. The only downer is Belmin Beganovic’s injury.” According to Ziegl, the preparatory games with ups and downs should not be overestimated.
“We’re not finished with the major upheaval that we’re currently having to accomplish. But I’m sure that our fans will already be able to recognize the most important behavior in our game idea on Saturday,” says SV Ried head coach Maximilian Senft, who expects a “real cupfight”. “A very difficult game awaits us, in which everything will be demanded of us for sure,” says Senft.
