A 61-year-old woman was hit by a branch and trapped, police said on Friday morning. The Innviertler wanted to remove around 3.45 p.m. This had loosened due to a storm from a tree on the house wall. The accident happened when the woman was standing on a ladder about three meters high: the entire branch broke off and hit the woman. As a result, she fell from the ladder and came to rest under the branch.
When her husband returned home a few minutes later, he found his injured 61-year-old wife under the branch. He informed the emergency services. The Geretsberg and Eggelsberg fire brigades deployed 27 men to remove the branch. After the first aid by the emergency doctor, the injured person was flown by the rescue helicopter to the Salzburg accident hospital.
