As Austria’s soccer champions announced on Friday, Champions League finalists Inter Milan will be guests in the Red Bull Arena on August 9 (7 p.m./live ServusTV).
The Milanese were already opponents of Matthias Jaissle’s team in December 2022 during a short training camp in Malta.
Advance ticket sales for the game began Friday on the club’s website. “It’s a great recognition for us that so many big clubs are now coming to Salzburg for test matches,” said Salzburg’s managing director Stephan Reiter.
Last year Salzburg tested against Liverpool, the year before that against Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona. Real Madrid was the prominent guest in 2019.
