The Pachmayrstraße is an important connecting road to Linz and has been in poor condition for many years. Repairs were only ever made provisionally and on request, criticizes the “commuter spokesman” and ÖVP member of the National Council Michael Hammer. “Many citizens commute to Linz every day to get to their job, apprenticeship, school or university or to do their shopping. The state capital benefits from all of this. In return, many Linzers use the road to get to the local recreation area at the weekend,” says Hammer. They really hope for a proper, clean solution and are happy that Deputy Mayor Martin Hajart (VP) is listening.
Hajart hopes for approval
He announced at a local inspection that the necessary amount will be set aside in the upcoming budget. “I’m hoping for the approval of the Linz municipal council so that a good, long-term solution can be implemented next year with renovation and the creation of further alternatives,” says Hajart.
