The 4.5 meter long electric car with its 60.5 kWh battery now starts at 34,980 euros (subsidy already deducted).
The reason for the price reduction is economies of scale: BYD (“Build Your Dreams”) is the world’s most successful manufacturer of electrified vehicles. In the first half of the year, 1.26 million cars were sold worldwide – 617,000 of them were purely electric cars. “We are democratizing e-mobility in Austria and making it affordable for everyone,” said Danijel Dzihic, head of BYD Austria.
