A young Italian driver died after a fall on the first stage from Haid to Marchtrenk. The 17-year-old fell on Friday on the descent from Mistelbacher Berg and was flown to the Linz Kepler Clinic by helicopter after first aid. He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital overnight.
The first stage was stopped after the accident, the tour is now completely canceled.
