On Sunday, the 49-year-old Brit, who is currently on tour for the 25th anniversary of his solo career, was there at the Reiteralm in Styria to make the announcement.
According to moderator Benny Hörtnagl, the show in the Planai Stadium should be “as big as never seen before”. Williams traveled by helicopter directly from Carinthia to the presentation at the Reiteralm. He was accompanied by the Styrian Governor Christopher Drexler (ÖVP) and the Tourism Minister Barbara Eibinger-Miedl (ÖVP). In bright sunshine and in front of the picturesque backdrop of the Dachstein, the details of the event were announced by the organizers.

Williams said he enjoys being in Austria as it is a wonderful country. He would have eaten a schnitzel every day and played golf and tennis. He very much regrets that the concert in Carinthia was canceled because he would have been looking forward to it. But you can’t do anything against the forces of nature, “life is life”. He is happy about the special relationship with the Austrian audience, because “people allow me to be who I want to be,” Williams scattered roses to his fans. He responded to rumors that he was not feeling well with “everything is good in my life, I am very happy”.
He will travel directly from Australia to the concert in Schladming in December. He will not go skiing then, “I’m less talented than I’m crazy,” he said when asked if he would dare to go on the slopes.
The artist is currently in Austria, as a large open-air concert should have taken place in front of Hochosterwitz Castle in Carinthia on Saturday, but it had to be canceled for safety reasons due to heavy thunderstorms.
