Julian Baumgartlinger has not yet announced whether he will continue his career after his contract with FC Augsburg expires. In any case, the former captain of the Austrian national football team will remain in football. The 35-year-old will become a TV expert at the pay-TV channel Sky, which broadcasts a total of over 1,400 games live, including all 195 games in the domestic Bundesliga.
“My new job allows me to pass on the know-how I have gained as a player to the viewers and at the same time to gain my first experience in a new area,” explained Baumgartlinger.
In the first round, the broadcaster will also start with the premiere of “Sky Next Generation” at the match Austria Vienna against Sturm Graz. The live broadcast, which is specially geared towards children, will accompany Lena (13 years old), Jakob (10) and camera child Lilly (7).
