Around 300 girls and boys spent three varied days and made friends across national borders.

With various competitions and games, an orientation march and the evening camp disco in the fire station, the young people never got bored. On Saturday, the young Austrian fire fighters also demonstrated their skills in front of German judges and earned the Bavarian fire brigade badge “Jugendflamme” level 1. Their Bavarian comrades did the same by earning the Austrian achievement badge in silver and gold. In between, all camp participants could use the Schwarzenberg outdoor pool with free entry.

Just two weeks ago, a major fire in the center of Ulrichsberg showed just how important cross-border cooperation can be in an emergency. There, the participation of the Breitenberg and Wegscheid fire brigades was decisive for the extinguishing success.
