The rental price had a variation of 6.49% year-on-year in June

The rental price had a variation of 6.49% interannual in Juneat the same time the average price in pesos advanced 0.53% per month with respect to May and was established at a value of 18,684 pesos.

In June 2022 the year-on-year variation had been lower, of 5.23% compared to June 2021, while the monthly advance for June 2022 compared to May of that same year was 0.46%.

Montevideo continues as the most expensive department, with an average price of 19,425 pesos, about 741 pesos above the national average. The podium is completed cannelloni with an average of 18,111 pesos, and maldonado with one of 17,345 pesos.

At the other end, the cheapest department in the country continues to be Cerro Largo, with an average rental of 12,252 pesosfollowed by Riverawith one of 12,299 pesos, and lavalleja with one of 12,517 pesos.

Uruguay had more than 85,000 current rental contracts as of June

Regarding the number of contracts, this had a monthly variation of 0.32% compared to last May, and 1.13% year-on-year in June 2023. Current rental contracts currently total some 85,167 units.

The largest number of contracts is also in Montevideo, with some 65,937 propertiesfollowed by Canelones with 9,899, and Saint Joseph with 1,601.

On the other hand, the apartments with fewer current rental contracts are Thirty-three with about 69, Flowers with 108, and Peach with 173.
