From August 21st to 25th, ASKÖ Ebensee will host this year’s Herwig-Drechsel football camp. The event is named after the SV Ried player of the century. Drechsel won the 1998 cup and was runner-up in 2007 with the Innviertler team, and while he was still playing he began organizing football camps for youngsters between the ages of six and 14. The former midfield playmaker, who has also been called up for the Austrian national team, holds a UEFA A license and UEFA Junior A diploma.
Drechsel guarantees the children high-quality youth training from trained coaches and football professionals. Above all, the camps offer the ideal balance between sport and fun. The focus is on more than 20 hours of football training with training in understanding the game, feeling for the ball, technique and coordination. During the camp, attention is paid to the needs of each participating child, and great importance is attached to sports, exercise, fairness and friendships. Participants benefit from the latest training methods. Above all, the enthusiasm of young footballers for football is rekindled. The program includes getting used to the ball, stopping and passing, shooting techniques, coordination with and without the ball, movement training and header training, as well as a fun afternoon and a final tournament.
The children enjoy all-day care at the camp, including lunch and drinks. The organizers emphasize that the parents can be sure that their children are in good hands during the camp every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Registration for the camp at the ASKÖ sports facility Langwies in Ebensee is possible online at www.herwig-drechsel.at. The price for the sports week is 265 euros. Each participant receives a set of clothes, hoodie, rain jacket, drinking bottle and a ball.
