Belgium’s national football team and Real Madrid received bad news on Thursday: goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his left knee during training and has to take a break for months.
The 31-year-old will also miss the European Championship qualifier in Vienna against Austria on October 13 (8:45 p.m.). Courtois will undergo an operation in the coming days, according to the “Royal”, where ÖFB team player David Alaba is under contract.
