An 18-year-old reported to the staff of the Donautal-West rest area in the Passau district on Monday morning. The man said he found a bag with around 9,000 euros in cash in the toilet. The owner was quickly found on the basis of the documents in the bag.
Only after the call did the man notice the loss. He then immediately made his way to the traffic police in Passau, where the lost property was officially kept. The Slovak passing through was relieved that the honest finder had contacted him. The 42-year-old left the 18-year-old a reasonable finder’s fee.
