The fire brigades were alerted at around 2:40 p.m. with the keyword “Fire agricultural property”. A fire broke out in the garage of a farmer in the municipality of St. Veit im Mühlkreis (Rohrbach district). The farmer had parked his wheel loader there, and a little later the vehicle was partially on fire. The fire had already spread to the building.
Twelve fire brigades from the area moved in, alarm level three was declared. Thanks to their rapid intervention, the emergency services were able to prevent the flames from spreading to the roof structure, the stable and the residential building. A fire investigator should now clarify the cause. The extent of the property damage could not be quantified for the time being.
