The former president of bolivian, Evo Moralesaccused a part of the Bolivian government and security forces of protecting the Uruguayan drug trafficker, Sebastian Marsetas well as other criminals linked to the drug business.
The political leader of the Movement for Socialism – Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS–IPSP), assured that with his comments he does not seek to harm the image of the Bolivian president, and co-leader of the MAS-IPSP, Luis Arcebut to protect him from some officials around him.
Morales affirmed that it hurts him to see his country being treated as a “narco-state” or known internationally as a “bridge for drug trafficking”, recalling that during his different governments, this was not the case.
“We said there is protection and now it is completely confirmed that there is protection for drug trafficking, that is doing us a lot of harm,” shot the president, who added that he hopes that “the government can stop this protection, if they cannot sanction.”
In turn, he sharply slipped that some “comrades” sent him comments saying that before, in the Morales governments, “economic policies and social programs were exported,” while now Bolivia is known as a “drug exporter.”
Sebastián Marset: “I left Bolivia a while ago”
In the last few hours, the Uruguayan drug trafficker commented in a new video released that Bolivia “left a while ago” and urged the local authorities not to look for him anymore, or if they wanted them to continue looking for him, but that they already was “far away”, he said in a mocking tone.
