At the 28th edition of the demanding traditional Garstner run, the secret favorite Johannes Pell completed the five laps in great heat in a brisk 31:10.01 minutes, beating second-placed Alex Vesely by more than one and a half minutes.
A further minute behind, Martin Pötz landed in third place in front of defending champion Michael Bramberger. Markus Schreiner was the best Mühlbacher with a personal record fifth. In the women’s category, Julia Ecker won ahead of Veronika Wagner and Maria Heigl. With more than 200 starters and 25 teams, there was a record number of participants.
