After the long bad weather phase, there is finally perfect bathing weather. In the Gallspach nature adventure pool, however, bathing opportunities have been restricted since the middle of last week. Due to the heavy rainfall, the large pool of the swimming pool had to be closed: “The heavy rain flooded the pool, which caused a lot of turbulence,” says Dieter Lang, Mayor of Gallspach (FPÖ), in an interview with OÖ Nachrichten.
This turbulence and the resulting turbidity of the water pose a safety risk: “In a swimming pool, the depth of view must be guaranteed, otherwise the pool cannot be released,” explains Lang.
No experience values
How long it will take to eliminate the current cloudiness is uncertain: “Unfortunately, we have no experience for such a case. But of course we hope that the pool can be opened again this bathing season,” says Lang. The other swimming pool is in full operation as usual.
The natural swimming pools are refilled with water every spring and remain clean thanks to natural filtration.
