The vision of Pées Boz is shared by the director of UTE for the broad front (FA), fernanda cardonawho indicated that the decree supposes unfair competition for the state company, since 10 years ago it signed contracts for the purchase of wind and photovoltaic energy for 20 years at 95 dollars and 135 dollars per megawatt, while the private ones will produce energy for 30 Dollars.
UTE rates could increase up to 15%
Pées Boz assured that the transfer of the cut to the tariffs could translate into increases of up to 15% in the amount to be paid by users.
Parallel to this, he recalled that UTE continues “banking the disastrous PPA contracts -Power Purchase Agreement- that were signed between 2012 and 2018, to which director Cardona referred.
