At 12:24 p.m., the helpers were alerted. When they arrived at the house in a settlement in Peilstein, flames were already shooting out of the windows on the first floor of the house, which also damaged the facade and roof structure.

The interior attack was started with 4 respiratory protection teams, says operations manager Georg Anzinger, commander of the Kirchbach volunteer fire brigade. Because the house is in a settlement, alert level 2 was triggered. 10 fire brigades with around 115 people were then deployed and were able to prevent the fire from spreading further.
