Almost 350 participants took part in the 21st Sickinger Rundlauf in Schörfling on Tuesday. Victory on the nine-kilometre-long and selective circuit with start and finish on the market square went to the world-class runner Isaac Kosgei (TGW Mehrkampf Union) in 30:44 minutes, just ahead of local hero Markus Lemp (LC Sicking) in 30:53 minutes. Third place went to Peter Mayr in 31:10 minutes (CLR Sauwald Cofain 699), the leader of the Sport Streicher Running Tour.
In the women’s classification, the favorite Leyla Reshed (LCAV Jodl Packaging) won in 34:46 minutes, ahead of Amelie Muss (LCAV Jodl Packaging) in 36:32 minutes and her club colleague Katharina Steiner in 38:40 minutes.
