The public prosecutor’s investigations into the incident on the Wels town square in May between Green City Councilor Thomas Rammerstorfer and the “Austrians”, as the right-wing extremist identities have renamed themselves, have been discontinued. The public prosecutor’s office in Wels and Rammerstorfer confirmed this yesterday at the request of the Welser Zeitung.

Rammerstorfer had stood in front of a bus of the “Austrians” who were holding a meeting. The bus driver then reversed towards the city council and pushed him across the square. Rammerstorfer filed a complaint and was reported himself – the investigations against him were also discontinued. Rammerstorfer has now announced that he will object to the termination of the proceedings against the “Austrians”. Three judges will then examine whether the proceedings will continue.
