The Government Minister of bolivian, Carlos Eduardo Del Castilloconfirmed the preventive detention of the Uruguayan drug trafficker Julio Luis Deal Barrioswho already had a diverse criminal record in the Uruguay.

“The Bolivian and Uruguayan population is informed that the preventive detention of Julio Luis Deal Barrios has been determined, in the Palmasola prison (Santa Cruz) for the crime of criminal organization, criminal association and others” reported Del Castillo through his X account last Saturday night.


In detail, the 12th Criminal and Liquidating Court of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra ordered the preventive detention of Deal Barrios “for the alleged crime of criminal organization, criminal association, attacks against members of security organizations of the State, ideological falsehood and use of a counterfeit instrument”.
Julio Deal Barrios is 62 years old and was not required by the Uruguayan Justice, although he did have a record for drug trafficking in the country. In turn, he was imprisoned in Argentina for carrying false documents, and it is unknown if the organization of which he was a part in Bolivia has ties to Sebastian Marset.

Chile joined the search for drug lord Sebastián Marset
