Salt boatmen once feared the accident on the municipal boundary between Desselbrunn and Roitham. Today, the twelve meter high waterfall and the gorge are a natural spectacle with a cultural and historical dimension, and the Traunfall Cultural Heritage Association is taking care of their legacy.
A 1.1 kilometer circular route leads past a number of sights. On the Roithamer Ufer, there is a Steckerlfisch snack station and on the Desselbrunner Ufer the Landgasthof Kastenhuber, which towers high above the bank wall. The Traunfall dive center offers fascinating drift dives (www.flussubaen.at).
