The 44-year-old was driving on the L517 from Neukirchen am Walde in the direction of Peuerbach when he got onto the left-hand side of the road in the Besenberg area for an unknown reason. He collided with the oncoming car of a 19-year-old who was traveling in the other direction with a 15-year-old boy.
The 44-year-old suffered injuries of an unspecified degree as a result of the airbags being triggered and was taken to the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic by ambulance after the accident was recorded. Both the 19-year-old and the 15-year-old passenger were unharmed. Significant material damage occurred on both vehicles.
