The round table discussion will take place under the slogan: “Canelones, a department rich in opportunities to produce, invest and live”.
Canelones seeks to position itself as a destination for foreign investment
In the middle of the year, the Canelones government began a series of actions through its Investment Promotion Agency (API) to prop up the attraction of foreign investment in the department and open markets for the placement of local products abroad.
This promotion agency seeks to connect with companies from all over the world, and has an agenda of planned missions in order to build bridges with companies in the state of Virginiain USA; of Saint Paulin Brazil; and the Paraguayan capital, Assumptionamong other destinations.
“It is part of our task, to promote that entrepreneurs can do business, can internationalize. It is something that we at API dedicate a lot of time to,” said its general director, Julio Filippiniin dialogue with scope.com.
In the month of June a mission was carried out in the Buenos Aires provincein Argentinawhere some 104 meetings were held between companies from Canelones and the Buenos Aires municipalities of lanus, San Martin, third of Februaryand Vincent Lopez.
“We think that the businesses that are going to be set up with Canelones are going to be sufficiently important over time, because we have had a very good reception from importers interested in our products,” the director stressed.
