Sunday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m., a 61-year-old from Linz drove his car out of town in Asten on Wiener Straße. An unknown driver of a gray car, who was traveling with another occupant, signaled the Linzer with the headlight flasher that he should drive to the right and stop. The 61-year-old then stopped.
The stranger got out and said that they were a civil patrol and that the 61-year-old was speeding. The passenger remained seated in the car. This seemed very dubious to the driver, which is why he asked for his ID card. The man said he needed to discuss this with his colleague and went back to his car. The 61-year-old driver also went to his car to get the registration certificate. When he turned around, the supposed police officers were suddenly gone.
Description of Fake Cop: about 35 years, about 1.80 meters tall, black hair. He wore blue, faded, long jeans, a blue short t-shirt. The man also had a black mustache.
