A 58-year-old from Germany steered the semitrailer around 3:10 a.m. on the B156 in the direction of Salzburg. For reasons that are still unknown, the refrigerated truck suddenly overturned on its left side and came to rest on its side in a wooded area.
The driver was trapped in the cab and suffered minor injuries. Firefighters freed him from the vehicle, after which the 58-year-old was taken to the hospital in Braunau. An alcohol test was negative.
The B156 was not passable until early morning due to the clean-up work.
